Welcome to Alturas Movers! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, and by engaging with us or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Services Provided
Alturas Movers provides a wide range of moving services, including but not limited to:
- Local Movers
- Long-Distance Movers
- Residential Moving
- Commercial Movers
- Moving and Storage Services
By booking a service with us, you agree to the specific terms related to the service(s) provided, as well as the payment and delivery schedules outlined.
2. Booking and Payment Terms
To book a moving service, a valid contract must be signed, and the agreed deposit or full payment must be made. Payments can be made via accepted methods such as credit card, debit card, bank transfer, or check. Final payments are due upon completion of the moving services, unless otherwise specified in the contract.
Any changes to your booking should be communicated as soon as possible. Additional fees may apply if there are changes in the schedule, location, or scope of services that are outside of the initial agreement.
3. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice before the scheduled date. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled move may incur a cancellation fee up to 50% of the agreed price.
4. Liability and Insurance
Alturas Movers is committed to ensuring the safe transportation of your belongings. Our company is fully insured for damages that may occur during the moving process. However, we are not responsible for:
- Items not properly packed by our team.
- Pre-existing damage to furniture or other items.
- Loss or damage of items left unattended or without supervision.
We recommend that customers insure high-value items through their own insurance provider for full protection during the moving process.
5. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Ensuring all items are properly packed before the moving team arrives (unless you have purchased packing services).
- Providing clear instructions on the handling and transportation of items.
- Ensuring easy access to the premises for moving trucks.
- Informing Alturas Movers of any obstacles or special requirements related to the move (e.g., parking restrictions, narrow doorways, stairs, etc.).
6. Restricted Items
Certain items may not be moved by Alturas Movers, including but not limited to:
- Hazardous materials, chemicals, or flammable items.
- Perishable goods or food.
- Pets or living organisms.
- Valuables such as money, jewelry, or precious items (unless previously discussed with us for special arrangements).
For your safety and the protection of your belongings, please refrain from placing these items in your moving boxes or asking our team to transport them.
7. Move Delays
Alturas Movers strives to complete every move on time; however, we are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Weather conditions.
- Traffic delays.
- Mechanical issues with vehicles.
- Acts of God (e.g., natural disasters).
If a delay occurs, we will do our best to inform you promptly and reschedule the service at the earliest convenience.
8. Damages and Claims
If your items are damaged during the move, please notify us immediately. Claims for damages must be made within 7 days of the move’s completion. Our claims process involves the following steps:
- Submit a claim form detailing the damage or loss.
- Provide photographic evidence, where applicable.
- Work with our claims department to assess the damage.
We will do our best to resolve the claim in a timely manner. Alturas Movers will cover the cost of repairs or replacement, up to the limit of the insurance provided, based on the damage assessment.
9. Indemnification
By using our services, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alturas Movers, its employees, agents, and contractors from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your breach of these terms or your use of our services.
10. Modifications to the Terms
Alturas Movers reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date of the most recent version will be displayed at the top. It is your responsibility to review these terms regularly.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes related to our services should be resolved amicably through direct communication with Alturas Movers. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration or mediation, as determined by applicable local laws.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida. Any legal action or proceeding related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the appropriate courts located in Florida.
